A cosy wooden cabin

We are safe and caring small animal luxury boutique boarding lodge with very experienced guardians to care for your beloved pet. Our purpose built insulated and air conditioned cabin holds secure apartments for individual and bonded bunnies or guinea pigs.

This is your small animal’s home away from home.  We prefer your bunny is having fun in the Bun Run, so we keep our boarding numbers low so your small animal gets the attention and duration of exercise they deserve.

Your small animal is monitored by video cameras at all times, our premises is fully security monitored, including our Bun Run.

The cabin is cosy, light, bright and well ventilated. We also have an advanced air conditioning temperature monitoring system.

Premium hay is fed – this is grown specifically for us. Lots of different enrichment is offered to your small animal when they stay including a TV to watch!

Your bunny/s will be health checked to make sure their scent glands are clean and they do not have a poopy bum - this in conjunction with our clean and hygienic surroundings is what prevents fly strike. Fly screens drastically reduce air flow and do not allow for privacy from other boarders (imagine if a fly was locked behind the screen with your bunny and couldn’t get out!). Medication is given at no extra cost, we also specialise in spay/neuter recovery. We take the health of your small animal very, very seriously.

We absolutely do not allow volunteers. Your small animals are entrusted with fully screened experienced and professional employees only.

All of our large apartments have bunny safe flooring, soft hygienic cage liners for bunny hocks and guinea pig feet. Litter trays are completely changed daily and topped up throughout the day. Our trays have a large layer of hay over the litter so your small animal isn’t balancing on hard pellets and hurting their feet/hocks.

The front of the cabin is surrounded by an enclosed play area called the Bun Run - so much binky fun!  Weather permitting, your bunny will have daily supervised play time in this zone. Your bunny (or bunnies, if bonded) will never mix with other boarders.

We do not hang food or have hay racks, we are very mindful of our older arthritic boarders.

Of course we can accommodate your outside bunnies!! If your bunny/s live outside we have beautiful outdoor runs available with cosy shelters, waterproof and shaded from the sun. If there is a very bad weather event and it is unsafe for your beloved pet to be outside we will move them indoors. We have all options available to you - your outdoor bunny couldn’t ask for more!

Amenities

All bunnies/small animals are visually separated from other boarders to ensure there is no stress, this is very important in a boarding environment.

Each apartment includes a bunny cave, toys, chew sticks and so much enrichment during their stay!

All feed (except pellets) is provided, including unlimited hay and healthy greens.  Fresh filtered water is provided daily. 

We recommend you bring the pellets your bunny is usually fed.  This ensures they have the comfort of eating what they are used to. 

We have full and unrestricted access to all necessary vet services and we are located 5 minutes away from the Animal Referral Centre.

Small pets such as Guinea Pigs, Chinchillas, Rats and Mice are very welcome!

There are no dogs onsite. Only rabbits and guinea pigs are housed in our apartments.
 

Rates

Bunny Boarding:

For 3 nights and longer:
$28 per night for a single.

$40 per night for a pair. (If you would like your single bunny to have extra room, you can book a double cage at this rate.)

For 2 nights or less: $61 flat fee for a single. $85 flat fee for a double.

For the Summer Peak Period (December, January, February): $38 per night for a single. $48 per night for a pair.

PLEASE NOTE: Your rabbit/s must be desexed (if old enough) and vaccinated to board.

Guinea Pig Boarding: $20 per night, $5 for each additional

Other Small Amimals (Pet Rats, Pet Mice, Chincillas etc): Please enquire.

Boarder pick up after 11:00am on a weekday will incur a full day fee.
